Trouble Shooting Guide
Checking the IP Address of Your Ingenico Device
Knowing the IP address of your Ingenico device can help troubleshoot network connectivity issues. This process is similar to checking the IP on an Android phone.
Steps to Check the IP Address
- Power on your Ingenico device and unlock it if necessary.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Select Wi-Fi (or Network depending on your model).
- Tap the connected network to view details.
- Look for the IP address field. This shows the device's current IP. If you do not see an IP address, click the Advanced tab.
Troubleshooting Notes
- If no IP address appears, ensure the device is connected to a Wi-Fi or Ethernet network.
- If the IP starts with
169.254, the device did not get an IP from the network. Try reconnecting or checking your DHCP settings. - Confirm that the IP address is on the same subnet as your POS system or router to ensure proper connectivity.
Optional: Test Connectivity
Once you have the IP address, you can perform a ping test from a computer on the same network to verify that the device is reachable.
